Austek Roads’ Carbonphalt® paves the way for sustainability at Norwell Motorplex

Austek Roads, a leader in the asphalt industry, recently showcased their unwavering commitment to excellence during a groundbreaking 3-day project at Norwell Motorplex in Queensland. The project involved resurfacing 14 sections - an impressive feat that saw the laying down of a total of 740 tonnes of asphalt. What truly set this project apart was the incorporation of Austek Roads’ revolutionary Carbonphalt® product – an environmentally friendly asphalt product that goes beyond conventional practices. 

Carbonphalt® is an innovative asphalt solution that utilises carbon char extracted from recycled tyres for a significantly more environmentally friendly asphalt solution.  This eco-friendly approach minimises the demand for new raw materials while also addressing the issue of tyre disposal. For the Norwell Motorplex project, 620 tonnes of the total 740 tonnes used were comprised of this groundbreaking solution.
